The recipient of the prestigious National Social Security Advisor designation, Gerard Dougherty has served as president of Boston Independence Group, Inc., since 2012. Before founding his own company, Gerry Dougherty worked as an advisor and manager with various large financial service organizations. He holds a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a certificate in financial management from the American College of Financial Services and Penn State University.
